To help ensure that The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) is fairly evaluated in external bibliometric assessments—which influence the University’s research reputation and rankings—all EdUHK researchers are encouraged to accurately and consistently state their EdUHK affiliation in their research publications.
Correct use of the EdUHK affiliation enables more effective harvesting and aggregation of publications within the University’s institutional research profile, repository, and research dashboards, which support the monitoring of individual, departmental, and institutional research performance.
Publications with author bylines that do not adhere to the prescribed affiliation guidelines may not be recognised as EdUHK publications in external bibliometric analyses or internal reporting systems.
Adjunct and Honorary staff are also encouraged to follow the same affiliation guidelines. Adherence to these practices facilitates efficient collection of publications across EdUHK’s institutional systems and supports OIDR’s efforts to capture, manage, and showcase EdUHK research outputs and overall research impact.
